About the organization

We Listen is an NGO working in the mental health space with a mission is to create awareness, break the stigma, and lend support to those suffering from mental health problems through programs, education, guidance and other initiatives.

They envision to create a safe space and lend help to those suffering from mental health problems through services like The Emotional Crisis Helpline which is a 24x7 service provided to one and all, delivering immediate help to the ones in an urgent situation.


Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Program Leader, WeMentor
      Work Description
    • Build out strategy & work plan for the initiative expected to impact 100K+ students over the next 2 years; end-to-end execution and full ownership of the initiative.
    • Negotiation with multiple stake-holders including administrative authorities and student body heads across colleges.
    • Ensuring smooth execution, absence of any huddles via frequent communication with We Listen’s board, mental health advisor & student, and designing reports and feedback forms.

      Skills required
    • Leadership skills, past experience in running a college-level initiative preferred.
    • Self-directed individual with the ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
    • Excellent (spoken and written) communication skills.
    • Irrespective of past experience, the willingness to learn and work on a broad spectrum of topics, taking ownership and being able to execute efficiently will be appreciated. You will be given complete ownership of the initiative & expected to put in at least 1hr/day.

  2. Market Strategy Specialist
      Work Description
    • Conduct extensive primary and secondary research to gather insightful data about NGOs/Charitable Institutions/Social Enterprises including their behavior and patterns.
    • Research and produce evidence-based reports on developments taking place in the area of mental health, providing insights to implement new ideas and campaigns.
    • Seek out and collect data from various sources about different ongoing campaigns, policies, events, and new ideas that can be implemented by the NGO in the near future.

      Skills required
    • Proficient in research techniques including observational data collection in the field, in-person interviews, literature reviews, etc.
    • Must have excellent analytical skills and documentation of research analysis.
    • Self-directed individual with the ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.

  3. Social Media Promoter
      Work Description
    • Efficient management of all the NGO social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google Mail on a regular basis.
    • Work on creative and original content writing to be published on the website and all social media handles and assist in content creation for social media posts and sponsored stories.
    • Work with the Digital Marketing team to create a content strategy for various NGO platforms, social media and blogs.

      Skills required
    • Efficient strategy planning and sound knowledge of social media tools and marketing.
    • Should know about community management which includes monitoring tweets, responding to Facebook posts and engaging with brand advocates.
    • Creative mindset with good writing, communication, technical and analytical skills.

  4. Technical Writer
      Work Description
    • Provide transparent and effective reporting of campaign strategy, approach, implementation and progress in compliance with framework conditions.
    • Create newsletters and relevant content to engage We Listen’s community of donors, users and subscribers with a clear call to action.
    • Responsible for creating and maintaining website copy for all pages of the website. Further, ensure the copy and messaging on We Listen’s website is uniform and adheres to We Listen’s brand guidelines.

      Skills required
    • Ability to write clearly and produce original content.
    • Excellent English writing and communication skills.
    • Being creative and orderly.

  5. HR Director
      Work Description
    • Recruiting and staffing logistics.
    • Planning performance management and improvement systems.
    • Monitor adherence to legal standards and internal policies.

      Skills required
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

  6. Research Associate
      Work Description
    • Execute the administrative and operational tasks such as designing, and implementing surveys, scoring psychological tests, summarizing results, and submitting relevant reports.
    • Perform a wide and complex variety of tests and studies across larger and distinct groups of populations. Perform specialized and advanced testing methods.
    • Monitor the gaps and requirements for the study, coordinate information, prepare reports, research, and analysis as required.

      Skills required
    • Must have completed or must be pursuing a professional degree in the field of psychology or psychiatry.
    • Proficient in research techniques including observational data collection in the field, in-person interviews, literature reviews, analytical skills and documentation of research analysis etc.
    • Understanding of legal and ethical issues and principles relating to participatory action.


Duration : 2 months

Time commitment required : 5-7 Hours/week

Location : Work from home (Pan India)
